Because information alone does not form a life.
Will began journaling as a teenager. Over time, those journals became a place to wrestle with Scripture, prayer, relationships, leadership, contradiction, and the distance that can exist between what Christians say and how Christians live.
His writing grew through study and lived experience, but also through correction. He does not write as someone standing outside the struggle. He writes as someone who has had to examine inherited ideas, confront contradictions in his own life, and keep returning to the person and way of Jesus.
The goal is not to give readers more religious language to repeat. It is to help truth move into character, relationships, decisions, institutions, and ordinary practice.

Chronic migraine has accompanied Will for more than two decades. His work therefore refuses simple formulas about suffering. It holds prayer together with qualified care, honest limits, community, work, family, joy, and resurrection hope.
What shapes the work
Truth joined to dignity
Honesty does not require humiliation. Grace does not require denial. Formation must preserve both truth and personhood.
Faith in ordinary life
The work moves theology into marriage, parenting, health, money, leadership, work, culture, and shared responsibility.
Formation over performance
The measure is not how spiritual something appears, but what kind of people and communities it is actually producing.
A life with many classrooms
Army. Family. Ministry. Enterprise. Pain. Practice.
Will entered the Army at seventeen and served for approximately ten years, encountering people and cultures far beyond the world he knew. He has spent a lifetime building businesses, serving in ministry, raising a family with Clarice, and learning through the responsibilities and consequences of real leadership.
As a husband and father of eight, he writes with awareness that ideas eventually enter homes. As an entrepreneur, he understands that convictions must survive budgets, pressure, staffing, risk, and accountability. As a ministry leader, he knows spiritual language can heal, but can also be used to avoid truth or control people.
These experiences do not replace Scripture. They help explain the questions he brings to it and why his books consistently connect doctrine with embodied life.
