I wrote this book because Easter is supposed to announce life, yet many people enter the season carrying pressure, grief, exhaustion, or fear. Some have been told they must celebrate visibly to prove faith. Others have been taught that participating in familiar customs is compromise. I wanted to recover the risen Christ from both kinds of performance.
