To the person who feels stuck,
I do not know the full weight of what brought you here. Feeling stuck can come from fear, grief, exhaustion, depression, trauma, illness, responsibility, limited opportunity, an unsafe relationship, or consequences that now need to be faced. I will not pretend one encouraging sentence can explain all of that.
But being unable to see the whole road does not mean there is no faithful next step.
Sometimes we imagine movement must be dramatic before it counts. We wait for the perfect plan, the restored feeling, the complete answer, or the courage to change everything at once. The size of the imagined journey makes honest movement feel impossible.
Begin with what is true
You do not need to insult yourself into action or minimize the barriers in front of you. Name what is true as specifically as you can. What is within your control? What is not? What needs grief? What needs repentance? What needs protection? What requires help beyond what you can provide for yourself?
Clarity is a form of mercy because it helps us stop fighting every problem as if it were the same problem.
Make the step proportionate
Your next step may be a phone call, an appointment, a boundary, an apology, a completed form, a walk outside, a truthful conversation, a glass of water, a request for help, or the decision not to return to a dangerous place.
Small does not mean meaningless. A proportionate step respects your actual capacity while still moving toward truth and life.
Let support be wise
Some seasons cannot be carried alone. Trusted friends, responsible pastors, physicians, therapists, advocates, legal professionals, financial counselors, or emergency services may be part of the faithful path. Seeking qualified help is not a failure of faith.
If you are in immediate danger, facing abuse, or considering harming yourself or someone else, do not treat this letter as sufficient help. Contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource now.
Awake to what is true without contempt. Align with the response that protects life, dignity, responsibility, and love. Act through the step actually available today.
You may still feel stuck after taking it. Take it anyway. Movement sometimes becomes visible only after faithfulness has been repeated.
With hope, Will
